Fall Madness

This fall has been wild as far as the amount of fishing and hunting we have been doing. I wish I could say the fishing was wild. I would consider it mediocre at best in southern Maine with a few of our central and farther north locations fishing great as usual. if you can fight the wind and arctic like feel to the air at times. But if you love to throw big streamers and get huge takes then the cold is well worth it! Though the numbers haven’t been great this year the size and quality of fish have been outstanding. Last week Dylan caught two nineteen inch browns in two locations, one on a wade trip and the other on a float trip. Both fish hammered big articulated streamers, which we love to see!!!! The hunting this fall has been pretty good, no fall turkey this year since I was to busy fishing, but we have gotten some god numbers of grouse and woodcock and we still have all of second season for ducks to replenish some much needed tying materials!! And of course what’s a post without some fish porn!!
